Edge City Overview

Edge City convenes people working at the frontiers of tech, science, and society in popup villages across the globe. We aspire to be a ‘society incubator’— a lab of experimentation for new ideas, tech, culture, and organizations, all dedicated to accelerating human flourishing.

The villages last 1-2 months and are perfect environments to live, learn, and experiment with frontier projects. The participants are leaders from diverse fields, including Crypto, AI, BioTech & Longevity, Philosophy, and Governance.

Role Overview

We are looking for a skilled, generalist Project Lead to manage our internal tech stack/operation systems, customer service, as well as act as a core member of the ops team and programming support during the pop-up villages.

Our systems/tools (NocoDB, Citizen Portal, Attio, Social Layer, Telegram) contribute to managing invites, applications, participants, payments, co-creation and collaboration.

This role is perfect for someone who is detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and enjoys working in a small and fun team plus interacting with the diverse range of participants.

Ideal candidates are geographically flexible and excited to join us for our month-long popup villages around the world (typically 3-4 events per year with remote work between events).

Role Responsibilities

• Manage Systems + Tools: Oversee and maintain internal tech stack including databases, calendars, ticketing platforms, and payment systems. Coordinate with tech partners on integrations and troubleshooting.
• Analytics & Reporting: Build and maintain dashboards to track key metrics.
• Customer Service: Respond to participant inquiries via email and messaging platforms with efficiency and care.
• Communications: Set up automated communications, manage community channels, and keep digital content up to date.
• Event Operations: Support event organization before and during popup villages, serving as a key point of contact for participants.
• Community Leadership: Embody Edge City values and act as a trusted team member for participant needs throughout the event.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience: Proven experience managing systems like Airtable.
• Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
