The d/acc Residency will bring 10–12 core residents and collaborators to the Andes for a month of applied experimentation sponsored by Protocol Labs and as a continuation of our work on SHIFT Grants, a D/ACC grants program. Residents will test technologies on the ground, integrate with the larger Edge City Patagonia popup village (~500 participants), and contribute to making decentralized acceleration (d/acc) a practice.
📅 Timeline: Applications open now
🌐 Recruitment: Direct invites (Shift Grants projects + curated leaders) + open application amplified. If you think you’re a fit or know of someone, please put them in touch.
🎯 Output: Tangible experiments, new prototypes, new companies or knowledge artifacts
Decentralized, democratic, differential, and defensive acceleration (“d/acc”) began as a meme and philosophical stance. The challenge now: make it a practice.
This month-long residency convenes technologists, builders, scientists, and polymaths to prototype frontier applications in AI, robotics, governance, economic systems, and human-aligned innovation.
Sponsored by Protocol Labs, in collaboration with Edge City, Nodes, and SHIFT Grants, the residency is designed as a high-leverage initiative to incubate projects, deepen practices, and accelerate novel applications of technology for resilient, human-centered infrastructures.
